Our Vision Statement
To be a community of believers working in the Kingdom of God, Through Jesus Christ, the Son, by the power of the Holy Spirit in the Anglican Tradition.
Our Mission Statement
To make disciples into the likeness of Christ and equip the saints for the work in the Kingdom of God.
St. Luke's is a Mission Parish in the Diocese of the Eastern United States, Anglican Province of America. We are a traditional Anglican Church, a branch of the historic One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church. We use the liturgy of the 1928 Book of Common Prayer and the Anglican Missal. The Holy Eucharist is our central act of worship, as in the tradition of the early Church.
Our clergy are all male in the Apostolic Tradition. We are Catholic and accept all the teachings given by Our Lord to The Apostles, without additions or deletions. All our teachings are supported by the Bible and sacred tradition passed on from the early church fathers and of ecumenical councils of the undivided Church. We do not embrace as a denomination any political or social action.
Those raised in a traditional Episcopal Church, or who embrace the teaching and ministry of the Apostolic Church and catholic faith, will feel like they've arrived home to familiar surroundings. Others will find a warm, inviting church anxious to welcome them into a new parish family.
